The Position:

The Gameday Capture team powers all video experiences in the GameChanger app. It delivers a stable, feature-rich streaming experience for coaches and parents, and a delightful way for fans to follow the action when they can't be at the game. The team's work is central to how GameChanger connects families and fans to the moments that matter most.

As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will use modern tools to develop features in our native Android application and across the stack. You will build engaging user-facing features by contributing your expertise, writing code, and making architectural decisions on a team of Product Managers, Designers, QA Analysts, and Engineers. You will report to one of our Product Engineering Managers.

What You’ll Do:

Lead feature development for community engagement, scorekeeping, fan experiences, and team management throughout the stack, with a focus on our Android app.
Work with peers on important decisions about how our applications are architected and built.
Team up with designers, testers, and product managers to find the best solutions for our customers.
Teach and learn with engineers across the company.
Promote responsible engineering practices and mentor team members.
Drive consensus on your team and solutions to challenging problems.

Who You Are:

Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
Experience leading successful Android projects.
Experience shipping beautiful, high-quality apps.
Participate in regular design and code reviews with development team members to confirm use of best practices.
Understand and evaluate new technologies, develop skills in new technologies.
Passion and experienced working with the latest Android tech.
Comfort working in a cross-functional product team.
Experience mentoring engineers and organizing work within a team.

Experience:

Our apps are written in Kotlin and use a reactive Model View Intent (MVI) architecture driven by Realm, RxJava, and the Jetpack lifecycle components.
