Remotivated: What's in a name?

Remotivated: What's in a name?

There was a time not so long ago when remote work felt exotic. It was the golden age of the WFH fail, epitomized by children dropping in on TV news interviews and lawyers attempting to explain that they are not a cat.

Working from home was an interesting new novelty in a world that was somehow terrifying and dreadfully boring all at once. While the novelty may have worn off, for many of us, remote work is a life-altering positive change that came out of one of the most turbulent periods of our lives.

It seems like we've lost a step since then. Employees are experiencing burnout, re-evaluating their priorities, and "quiet quitting." Meanwhile, some employers are attempting to force a return to the office. Some employers have stuck with remote work to avoid a mass talent exodus but have yet to embrace a remote-first culture. For those and a hundred other reasons, many organizations and their employees struggle to continue their work with the same quality, urgency, and sense of purpose they had in years past.

While the world at large feels fatigued, and many organizations struggle to adapt, others are absolutely thriving. There were successful remote companies before the pandemic, and many transitioned seamlessly to remote work. For those organizations and their employees, it's been business as usual (or better than ever).

It is this environment that inspired Remotivated

Remotivated's certification program recognizes those employers with world-class remote cultures to help them continually build on that success and keep their teams motivated.

For every remote organization with a genuinely great culture currently in place, a dozen more are still trying to piece it together and build that world-class remote culture. Even companies that have stayed fully remote post-pandemic have struggled to keep their remote employees engaged. Remotivated gives these organizations the insights and tools they need to energize or Remotivate (sorry, had to) their workforce.

When he's not busy celebrating the best remote companies, Jim can be found starting (and occasionally finishing) projects around his home in New Hampshire, painting miniatures and obsessing over his dog, Biba.
