How much does remote culture certification cost?

How is this different from Great Place to Work?

Do my employees need to take a survey?

No. Remotivated certification does not require any employee surveys. We use publicly available data, third-party review platforms, and your Company Culture Snapshot. The only input from your team is a short form that takes about 10 minutes.

How long does the certification process take?

The application takes about 10 minutes, and most companies receive their REMOTE Score and certification decision within days. There’s no multi-month timeline, no committee review process, and no waiting for survey windows to close.

Can hybrid companies get certified?

Yes. Remote culture certification isn’t limited to fully distributed companies. If your company offers meaningful remote work options, whether Remote-First, Flexible Hybrid, or Structured Hybrid, you’re eligible. Your REMOTE Score will reflect how well your remote infrastructure works for the people who use it.

What data sources does Remotivated use?

We combine your Company Culture Snapshot with published remote work policies, employee benefits, tech stack infrastructure, anonymous reviews from platforms like Glassdoor, hiring zones, and job posting patterns. No single data source determines your score, and we cross-reference to catch inconsistencies.

What if our score is low?

You’ll still receive your full REMOTE Score with a dimension-level breakdown, so you can see exactly where to improve. Certification requires meeting a threshold, but a lower score isn’t wasted. Companies use the breakdown as a roadmap for where to focus before re-applying.

Is there a founding partner discount?

Yes. Founding partners receive 50% off Year 1 certification. In exchange, founding partners agree to participate in a case study, provide a testimonial, and allow logo usage. Mention it in your application to check availability.
