FinTech sits at an interesting intersection for remote work. The products are entirely digital, and the impact of having top talent is huge. Those are usually two key ingredients for an industry to be dominated by remote work. But on the other hand, working with office-centric financial institutions and compliance concerns can make some fintech companies cautious about how distributed they get.
That doesn't mean there aren't a lot of remote fintech companies though. It just means the lines can be a little blurrier than in other industries, so it's important for remote job hunters to pay close attention.
We track fintech companies in our database with detailed work model classifications and REMOTE Scores. Each listing below links to a company profile where you can see how distributed the team actually is, what their remote policies look like, and how employees rate the experience.
This list is updated daily with 25 remote jobs from the top fintech companies that are hiring now. Salary ranges are shown where disclosed, and each company's work model (fully remote, remote-first, or flexible hybrid) is visible on the listing. Each links to a company profile where you can find the full story on a company's REMOTE Score, benefits, perks, policies and tech stack before applying.

Every job on this list was verified against the Remotivated database of remote companies. We filtered by industry, included only remote jobs and selected the most interesting opportunities available today. Here is what we evaluated:
We measure how well a company supports distributed work. Scoring is based on anonymous employee reviews, documented policies, benefits, compensation and remote-first culture. Higher scores indicate that a company has fully embraced remote-first best practices. Lower scores indicate that companies are either still adapting or may have weak spots like negative reviews or less transparent policies.
We categorize companies by their actual work model: fully remote, remote-first, flexible hybrid, or onsite with remote exceptions. Only remote jobs are shown on this list but we think it's important to know how the rest of the company works as well before you decide to apply.
Companies that publish remote policies, salary ranges, benefits details, and compensation philosophy rank higher. We check for remote policies, documented benefits, and whether they disclose their approach to location-based pay adjustments.
Jobs posted recently rank higher and the list is updated daily. Every employer featured has additional open roles and a full company profile with details on culture, benefits, tech stack, and remote work policies.
Remote fintech roles span a wide range depending on function and seniority. Key roles in engineering, product, and sales can offer extremely competitive comp though, with ranges above $200K for senior positions. Salary ranges are displayed on listings where companies disclose them, and you can compare compensation approaches across employers on their company profiles.
We tag companies with tech vertical classifications based on their core product and market. FinTech includes companies building payment infrastructure, lending platforms, personal finance tools, insurance technology, and cryptocurrency products. Each company also gets a work model classification (fully remote, remote-first, flexible hybrid, or structured hybrid) and a REMOTE Score measuring how well they support distributed work across six dimensions.
FinTech has structural advantages: digital-native products, global customer bases, and fierce competition for engineering talent that pushes companies toward flexible policies. That said, regulatory and compliance requirements mean some fintech companies prefer tighter control over where employees are located, particularly in roles that touch financial data or require specific licensing. The companies on this list have maintained remote hiring through multiple market cycles, but policies can shift. Check each company's REMOTE Score and work model classification for the current picture.
It varies. Some pay the same regardless of location (global pay parity), while others adjust compensation by geographic tier. This is a meaningful difference that can amount to tens of thousands of dollars on the same role. We track compensation approach on company profiles where the information is available. If location-based pay adjustments are a concern, check before applying.
