How Monarch works

There is no central office. The team leans on asynchronous communication to stay connected across time zones, built on a stated belief that people do their best work when they have the agency to work in ways that fit their lives. Every month the whole company takes First Friday off, giving everyone a standing three-day weekend.

AI is core to how the team operates: everyone uses it as a partner to sharpen judgment, move faster, and expand what is possible. On the product side, account aggregation runs on Plaid, pulling a person's balances, transactions, and investments into a single view.
