SecurityScorecard
SecurityScorecard grades an organization's cybersecurity the way a credit bureau grades a borrower: a clear A through F rating, generated continuously for more than a million companies. Those ratings drive third-party risk management, board reporting, and cyber insurance underwriting.
SecurityScorecard's Remote Policy
From their careers page: "While we are headquartered in New York City, SecurityScorecard is a remote-friendly organization." The company keeps its New York City headquarters while hiring remotely, and describes itself as a global company with roots in places like Uruguay, Prague, Romania, and London.

Why SecurityScorecard
Founded in 2013 by security and risk experts Alex Yampolskiy and Sam Kassoumeh, SecurityScorecard built the patented rating technology that anchors its business. That approach earned a customer base that includes nine of the top ten pharmaceutical companies and nine of the top ten banks, and roughly a thousand organizations rely on the ratings today. In 2024 the company extended the model with MAX, a platform for managing supply-chain cyber risk.
Internally, employees call themselves Scorecarders and work from a values set the company abbreviates as SCORE: Solutions Focused, Customer Obsessed, One Scorecard, Resilient, and Embody #SecurityDNA, their shorthand for practicing the security discipline they sell. The company frames the work as "high speed, low drag": a fast-moving culture built around keeping customers happy and persevering through obstacles, with one team that leans on diversity and collaboration.
