Why Vetcove

Vetcove started with two brothers who grew up working in their dad's equine practice in New Jersey. They launched the company in late 2015, and its published commitments to clinics and suppliers include Put Vets First, Display All Data, Exclude No Supplier, Keep Pricing Private, and Treat Suppliers Fairly. As of 2024, it ran purchasing and supply chain infrastructure for general practices, emergency and specialty clinics, SPCAs, zoos, aquariums and veterinary consolidators, and it is backed by Y Combinator.

The team calls itself fast moving and highly collaborative. Engineers don't stay in one lane. Vetcove says that "every engineer at Vetcove should have a holistic view of Vetcove and work on many areas of our technology stack," and its engineering posting names a stack that includes Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React, Redux and React Native.
