Your Role:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining frontend applications that form the foundation of user experience at Alpaca and empower millions of users who trade billions of dollars worth of assets.
As part of a focused and specialized engineering team, you will be responsible for the user experience and product development for Internal Tools customers, encompassing both the frontend trading dashboards and backend systems that power Internal Tools product features like elite, high-yield cash, paper accounts, and more. Working closely with our users and internal stakeholders, we specialize in delivering high-quality end-to-end solutions across the full suite of frontend and backend systems at Alpaca.

Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team with a keen attention to detail, you’ll build eleant and seamless user experiences with a focus on polish, performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.

Yes. Alpaca is a 100% remote company with 380+ team members distributed worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Brazil, and the UK. Roles are posted by region such as Americas, EMEA, APAC, or North America, and some open positions can be worked from anywhere globally.
Alpaca leans on asynchronous communication and uninterrupted deep work so a globally distributed team can collaborate across nearly every time zone. Most roles hire across a broad region, though some postings specify a working-hours overlap, for example Eastern or European time zones, when a function needs closer coordination.
Alpaca offers a competitive salary plus stock options, giving employees an ownership stake in the company. It also provides a 401(k) plan, though the company does not match contributions.
Employees receive four weeks of PTO plus three personal days each year. Alpaca also offers the option to take up to three months of unpaid leave as a sabbatical.
