We’re looking for a strong and trusted Senior Software Engineer who operates independently and takes full ownership of technical components and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, collaboration, and mentorship.

You will play a key role in delivering complex projects, shaping technical direction within your domain, and raising the bar for engineering quality across the team.

What will you be doing?

• Take full ownership of significant components or services, driving them from design to production with minimal direction.
• Be a go-to expert in one area of the codebase while maintaining awareness of system-wide architecture.
• Apply technical expertise and domain knowledge to solve complex problems requiring creativity and sound engineering judgment.
• Plan and execute major assignments or multiple concurrent projects, balancing pace, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Serve as a technical contact on cross-functional projects, coordinating with product, design, and other teams.
• Mentor and uplift the team through code reviews, documentation, guidance, and technical leadership on project delivery.
• Make others better by offering thoughtful technical feedback, contributing to standards, and championing best practices.

What skills & experience do you need?

• Advanced expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript, with strong experience building scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Strong proficiency with frontend frameworks such as React and modern web development patterns.
• Experience with scalable cloud infrastructure and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS), CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, modern database systems (SQL or NoSQL), and distributed system challenges.

• Ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and speed of delivery.

• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional partners.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide others technically.
• Experience with GraphQL, API integrations, feature flagging systems, or server-side rendering frameworks.

This role is hybrid, expected to come in the office each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to collaborate and stay connected.
