We're building Reddit's next-generation AI developer platform: a best-in-class agent stack that helps every Snoo build, test, review, and ship software efficiently while preserving Reddit's control over quality, costs, and long-term AI strategy. Our optimization harness measures and improves agents across the software development lifecycle by benchmarking models, detecting regressions, optimizing routing, incorporating production feedback, and improving developer productivity.
You'll report to Kyle Maxwell and partner with Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Developer Productivity to shape AI-assisted software development across Reddit.
As a Software Engineer, Agent Optimization & Evaluation, you will lead our agent optimization and evaluation platform. You'll build systems to measure and improve agents' impact on engineering velocity, including Reddit-specific evaluation environments, intelligent model orchestration, and feedback loops that learn from production usage. This hands-on role involves writing production code and building new systems with ownership and autonomy. Strong platform and infrastructure partners will support your work on agent optimization, evaluation, and orchestration.

Current openings list remote eligibility in the United States, Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Reddit also keeps offices open in cities like San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Dublin, and Sydney, so remote employees near a hub can drop in whenever they like.
Reddit lists workspace and home office benefits among its published perks, so equipment and home office costs are supported, and its Ireland careers site additionally names a monthly cell phone allowance. Reddit publishes no amount for either, and no coworking allowance appears on any page Reddit controls, so treat any specific figure you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.
Reddit publishes more than four months of paid parental leave for all parents, with no split between birthing and non-birthing parents, alongside family planning funds. Time off is flexible rather than accrued, and everyone gets company-wide Reddit Global Days Off on top of it. Personal and professional development funds round out the package. Reddit publishes no amount for the family planning or development funds.
Yes for US roles. Reddit shares base salary ranges on all US-based job postings regardless of state, using standardized pay bands by function, level, and location. Compensation also includes restricted stock units for all employees and commission for sales roles.
Engineering, data science, product, and security roles are posted overwhelmingly as remote, especially in the US and Canada. Sales and some revenue roles are tied to office hubs such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, London, Berlin, and Amsterdam, so expect an in-office component there.
