UiPath

3,700 employees
Structured Hybrid

UiPath builds agentic automation software, a platform where AI agents, software robots, and people work through the same business processes. It sells mainly to large enterprises running high-volume back-office and operations work. The company frames its own model in three words: agents think, robots do, people lead.

UiPath's Remote Policy

UiPath states its working models directly on its careers page:

"Our roles are hybrid, remote, or office-based. For us, hybrid means employees work onsite a minimum of two days a week depending on their team needs."

That two-day figure is a floor, not a suggestion, and it is the only working-model rule UiPath publishes. There is no handbook, no dedicated remote or how-we-work page, and no published policy on async communication, meeting norms, or timezone expectations. What the company says about flexibility ends at that one sentence.

In practice the mix leans toward the office. UiPath declares 19 offices, and of the 117 roles open on its job board at the time of this profile, 76 were on-site, 32 were remote, and 9 were hybrid. Most listings are anchored to a named city rather than a region or a country.

The honest read for a candidate: fully remote roles at UiPath are real but they are a minority, roughly a quarter of what is open. Everything else expects you within commuting distance of an office, either every day or at least two days a week. Check the workplace type on the specific posting before you assume, because the answer changes role by role and team by team.

Why UiPath

UiPath started in 2005 in a Bucharest apartment with ten people and now trades on the NYSE as PATH, with roughly 3,700 employees and more than 10,800 customers. The product began as robotic process automation, software robots that carry out repetitive computer work, and has since widened into what the company calls agentic automation: AI agents that make decisions, robots that carry them out, and people who direct both. Adjacent pieces include intelligent document processing, agentic testing, and orchestration across all of it.

The culture is written down as four values with explicit sub-tenets, Humble, Bold, Immersed, and Fast, and the careers page spells out what each one asks for, from "check your ego" to "speak up" to "be customer centric." Two lines from that page tell you more about the temperature than the values list does: "We're humble game-changers. We do big things, but we approach our work with humility," and "We embrace failing forward. Being uncomfortable is our comfort zone." Employee-led People Unity Councils cover groups including Women in Automation, Neurodiversity, Veterans, Parents and Caretakers, and Pride, and a long-running careers blog called Inside the Rocketship publishes employee stories under Humans of UiPath, Culture at UiPath, and Tech Stories. A Future Forward internship program feeds engineering, product, and sales.

One thing to weigh going in: UiPath publishes very little about the mechanics of working there. There is no handbook, the /benefits path redirects to the homepage, and no pay philosophy or communication policy appears anywhere on its careers surface. You will have to ask those questions in the process rather than read the answers beforehand.
