As a Staff Backend Engineer on NIRA, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of a critical domain within our credit platform. You'll lead a complex product area end-to-end, from strategy through execution, while working closely with our Principal Engineer, GM, and cross-functional partners across NIRA, Cashalo, and our US teams.

Tilt is remote-first. Most roles are remote, but some positions are tied to non-remote locations, largely within its NIRA (India) and Cashalo (Philippines) regional sub-brands.
Roles are pinned to specific countries or regions rather than open worldwide. Tilt hires remotely in the US, EU, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, with additional roles in India and the Philippines. The 14-country footprint describes where employees are, not blanket hiring eligibility.
Yes, for US-remote roles: Tilt displays a salary band on each US posting, and every US posting includes equity. Non-US postings do not display compensation.
