Dune
Dune is an onchain data platform: raw blockchain records parsed, decoded, and made human-readable so they can be analyzed rather than reverse-engineered. Analysts, researchers, and enterprises use it to query that data and publish dashboards from it. The company's stated mission is to make onchain finance observable.
Dune's Remote Policy
Dune describes itself on its careers page as "a distributed team, across Europe and East Coast US with a remote-first approach," and job postings restate it as "a fully remote-first approach within a distributed team with flexible working hours; you structure your own day."
On meetings, the careers page is blunt: "Say goodbye to meeting overload! We believe in a healthy mix of async and sync work, so you can focus on what truly matters: no more wasted time on endless meetings!"
The company also budgets for the isolation problem directly: "We know working in a remote setting can be isolating, so each Duner has a yearly travel allowance for connecting and co-working with teammates."

Why Dune
Fredrik Haga and Mats Olsen started Dune in Oslo in 2018. The company's vision post states the goal directly: "If Dune succeeds, the world has a collective homepage for understanding on-chain activity." Dune also runs its own conference, DuneCon, which began in Berlin and returned in Buenos Aires in 2025.
The careers page names four values: Create Customer Magic, Change The Game, One Team One Dream, and Sense of Urgency. Company blog posts show what those look like day to day. Sense of Urgency is described as a bias for action, "because action produces information we can iterate on." Another value, Get To The Heart Of It, asks people to communicate directly and tackle difficult topics head on, which is a norm that carries weight on a team that rarely shares a room. A designer's retrospective reports the design team pushing 5 to 15 PRs per week, working through Slack, Linear, Figma, Cursor, and GitHub.
