Fully Remote

GitLab builds a DevSecOps platform delivered as a single application, covering planning, source code management, CI/CD, security scanning, and monitoring in one tool. The company is all-remote with no offices anywhere, and its public handbook documenting how the company works has become a widely used reference for distributed teams.

GitLab's Remote Policy

From GitLab's public handbook: "GitLab is the world's largest all-remote company. We are 100% remote, with no company-owned offices anywhere on the planet." The handbook defines the term this way: "All-remote means that each individual in an organization is empowered to work and live where they are most fulfilled. By including the word 'all' in 'all-remote,' it makes clear that every team member is equal. No one, not even the executive team, meets in-person on a daily basis." Why GitLab

GitLab provides a complete DevSecOps platform as a single application, so development, security, and operations teams can work from planning through production without stitching together point solutions. Source code management, CI/CD, security scanning, and monitoring live in one place, and the platform is used by enterprises and government agencies alongside the open source community it grew out of.

Founded in 2014 as an open-source project, GitLab operates with no offices: every role is remote, every process is documented in their public handbook, and asynchronous communication is the default. Meeting-free Fridays, flexible schedules, and a handbook-first culture give team members the room to do deep, focused work regardless of timezone.
