At Dragos, the mission is personal. The systems we protect deliver the water you drink, power your home, and keep the hospitals your community depends on running. Those critical infrastructure systems that power our civilization around the world are under attack every day by adversaries. When those systems fail, people are immediately at risk. We are the global leader in xOT cybersecurity, combining technology, threat intelligence, and expert services. The people here chose this work because they understand what is at stake. Here, you will find a remote-first mission-driven team across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC built on authenticity, transparency, and trust. If safeguarding the systems that protect your family, friends, and community is the kind of work that matters to you, you are in the right place.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Device Engineering Manager to lead the team that builds our device intelligence: the scanning and fingerprinting that discovers and classifies every asset on a customer network, the profiles and probes that pull information off those devices, and the actions we take on them, including credential rotation, firmware updates, certificate management, and configuration change control.
A core part of this team is device reverse engineering. These engineers work out how a device actually communicates when there is no documentation to rely on and turn that understanding into automated, supported product capabilities. You will set the direction for where that reverse engineering investment goes and hold the documentation and test standards that make it reusable rather than one-off.

Not usually. Dragos hires remote employees, but most of its roles are tied to a specific country, so check each posting's location before applying. The company opened a Houston office in 2019 and in 2021 expanded into Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and the European Union.
Most Dragos postings do. Each one's compensation section usually states a single salary figure in the local currency of the role's country, rather than a pay range.
Nearly every Dragos posting lists a competitive equity package and a comprehensive benefits plan as part of the role's compensation. For US-based employees, the benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k).
All new hires must pass a background check as a condition of employment. A few roles, mainly those supporting government customers, also require an active security clearance, and the posting will say so.
It depends on the role. Engineering and product roles involve little travel. Customer-facing work such as incident response, consulting, and account management includes travel for onsite engagements, sometimes a substantial share of the time, and postings for those roles state how much to expect. A small number of roles require onsite work at a customer location.
