Why Super.com

Super.com grew out of SnapTravel, its flagship product, which delivered travel deals through a text-like chat interface on Messenger, WhatsApp and SMS. Its mission today is broader: "to create opportunities for everyone to put more money in their pocket." The product side runs on experiments. The company says it lets "the customer data decide what sticks," organizes work into mission aligned teams with embedded data scientists, and runs a SoftWare Adaptability Team (SWAT) that moves engineers onto short-term needs.

The working culture is built on writing. In a 2022 post, CEO Hussein Fazal set out five written-culture principles: written briefs, RACI ownership, prepared meetings, a shared decision-making framework and documentation. The same post described meetings that open with a quiet reading period and a Slack habit of answering questions with "have you gleaned it," because Glean indexed the company's documents. The house rule fits on one line: "when in doubt, write it down!" Employees also get full access to the company's financials and strategy.
