Kit is the email marketing platform experts choose to grow their audience, deepen their relationships, and build a business around the work they love. For coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, there isn't a better marketing hub to rely on to grow audiences, automate email marketing, and sell digital products — all within one platform.
More importantly, there isn't a team more committed to helping creators earn a living. We're on a mission to help creators earn $1 billion using our creator marketing platform. We have always been 100% independent and 100% remote.
We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we look for people who have enthusiasm and belief in our mission, vision, and values to join our team. We're also embracing AI thoughtfully — both in how we build and how we hire to ensure our team is adaptable, innovative, and ready for what's next.
Kit is growing, and so are the legal complexities of our business. We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to help us navigate them with clarity, speed, and commercial savvy. You'll serve as in-house legal subject matter expert, partnering closely with the executive team to lead product legal strategy and execution—especially around privacy, data, AI and compliance, commercial contracts, customer security requirements, and scalable legal support for our teams. A key focus will be helping Kit respond to a growing volume of privacy questions—particularly as one of our newer products, Subscriber Signals, evolves by building practical, repeatable systems that provide timely and consistent guidance at scale.
You'll help shape the legal backbone of a fast-moving tech company with multiple revenue streams—including SaaS, digital commerce, paid reccomendations, and advertising—and a rapidly growing platform for creators. To advise the business effectively, you'll develop a deep understanding of Kit, SparkLoop, Subscriber Signals, and how creators get value from our connected ecosystem of apps and tools. You'll be at the center of complex, cross-functional problems where product, business, and legal strategy meet—all in service of helping creators build more valuable businesses.
You'll report to our Chief Operating Officer, Brian Bevel, and partner regularly with leaders across product, sales, finance, and people operations. You'll own our core legal work in-house, reduce the need for outside counsel, and know when specialized outside counsel is truly needed.
We're 100% remote with team members across the globe. For this role, we're looking for someone located in the United States.
Kit has standardized salaries based on position, no matter where you live. This role is an individual contributor level 4 ($227,000) or 5 ($252,000). Our other perks and benefits include:
We usually receive a large number of applications, and our goal is to follow up with you within two weeks. You’ll hear from us either way. Here’s what you can expect from the rest of our hiring process:
We’ll keep you informed through every step. To get started, complete this application, including a cover letter and answers to the questions on the next page. We read every single application, and your cover letter and responses help put your experience into context.
We value diversity in all of its forms. Research tells us that applicants who are female or non-binary, as well as applicants who are people of color, are less likely to apply for roles they do not feel 100% qualified for. If you think you meet more than 50% of our requirements but fewer than 100% of them, please apply.
We’re imperfect communicators, so think of our job postings as the starting point for discussion rather than proof that you shouldn’t apply.
Kit does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.

Yes. Kit's careers page says team members can work from anywhere in the world, and its handbook describes an international core team alongside the US-based one. International core team members choose their own 10 paid holidays in line with local holidays and receive a $10,000 compensation increase in lieu of the US benefits package, because the 401(k) match, equipment budget, and internet stipend apply to US-based core team members only. Individual postings can carry their own requirements, such as continental US residency or consistent working-hours overlap with teams in Europe and the US, so check each listing.
Kit has used standardized salaries since 2018: every job has four to six levels, each level has a set salary, and the number is the same no matter where you live. Levels are benchmarked against market data every year, and if the market falls Kit keeps existing salaries where they are rather than cutting them. Kit states the pay on its job postings. On top of salary, the core team shares in profits twice a year: 52% of the profit pool goes to the team, split 25% by tenure and 75% equally.
For US-based core team members, Kit pays up to $2,100 per month toward medical premiums and covers dental and vision premiums in full, matches 401(k) contributions up to 5% of salary, and adds a $360 annual internet stipend. Every core team member gets a $3,500 annual learning and development budget, and Kit matches each hour you spend learning outside work with an hour during the work week. Full-time core team parents receive a $3,000 annual childcare benefit. Kit also reimburses up to three in-person counseling sessions a year and contributes up to $99 per month toward gender-affirming services. Benefits vary by location and role.
Core team members get 20 days of paid vacation a year and can roll over up to four weeks. Kit pays a $1,000 after-tax bonus once a year for taking five or more consecutive vacation days, scheduled at least three months ahead, without checking in. There are 10 paid company holidays plus a global year-end break at the end of December. Sick and mental health leave is 80 hours a year. New parents get 12 weeks of fully paid leave, available within the first 12 months after a birth or adoption, plus flexible scheduling for up to a year. Medical, bereavement, and disaster leave each run up to six weeks paid per year. After five continuous years, Kit pays for a four-week sabbatical, with another four weeks after each additional five years.
The one company-wide anchor is the all-team meeting at noon Eastern every Thursday; the rest of the rhythm depends on your team. Engineering, product, and design hold fixed team meetings three mornings a week on Eastern time, keep a midday Eastern window generally available, and treat Fridays as focus days with no recurring meetings. Performance reviews happen at least every six months, with a self review and a manager review.
Kit's handbook describes a structured process: a phone screen, a skills assessment, a technical interview, and a culture contribution interview. Candidates who reach the late stages can ask for feedback on their interviews. Kit also keeps a talent community sign-up on its job board for people who want to be considered for future openings.
