Join the team as our next Staff Engineer, Enterprise Security
As a Staff Enterprise Security Engineer, you will be a technical leader within the EntSec team, responsible for the foundational security posture of our organization. You will serve as an SME on the technical strategy and engineering execution for securing the AI ecosystem in our Enterprise, moving beyond policy into building the foundational "decision infrastructure" and technical guardrails that allow the enterprise to innovate with AI at scale.
You will also guide strategic direction and collaboration across enterprise security domains. You will need a background in security engineering and the cross-functional influence necessary to solve ambiguous, large-scale problems. Leveraging expertise in security assessments, threat modeling, identity and access control principles, and data protection, you will architect and build preventative guardrails and mitigate new risks introduced by first and third-party AI agents in our Enterprise.

Twilio's careers site lists 13 hiring countries: the United States, India, Colombia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Spain, Australia, Estonia, Mexico, Brazil, and Singapore. Every posting binds the hire to one named country, so roles are country-bound rather than hire-from-anywhere. Some narrow it further: India roles specify Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or New Delhi, and UK roles state the role is remote and based in the UK.
Yes, and it varies by role. Roughly a third of Twilio's current postings carry an explicit US state or metro exclusion. The most common clause rules out hires in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, and WA. Others exclude San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and surrounding areas, and one variant excludes a longer list including IL, MA, MD, OR, RI, TX, VA, and Washington DC. Read the exclusion clause on the specific posting before applying.
Only for US and Canada roles. Nearly every US posting and all Canadian postings carry a band, while Twilio publishes no salary band on any posting outside those two countries.
