You'll own the product vision and roadmap for a core agentic AI capability that sits at the heart of a new,
visionary AI-first product line. This role shapes how the system reasons, generates, and acts on behalf of
users, and you'll set the standard for what great AI-driven product experiences look like as the company
scales this capability. You'll report to the Product Director for Growth and Experience, working on
a foundational, high-visibility initiative that will influence how AI-first products get built across
the organization.
AI Product Strategy

Critical for translating ambiguous frontier problems into clear specifications where right answers
are undefined.
Own the product vision and roadmap for a core agentic AI capability, from early concept through
scaled delivery.
Define how the system reasons and generates outcomes, including the underlying logic, taxonomy, and
decision models.
Translate ambiguous, frontier-style problems into clear product requirements where the right answer
isn't yet known.
Partner closely with data science and ML teams to ground product decisions in real model behavior
and signal.
Set the bar for what good looks like in an AI-first, agentic product, not a traditional workflow one.
Represent this capability's vision and progress to senior stakeholders.
Experience designing agentic, AI-driven product systems, not just conventional workflow products.
Background in data and ML fluency, with demonstrated ability to work directly with data science on
reasoning and inference design.
Experience writing product requirements for systems with undefined or emergent behavior, where the
spec isn't fixed upfront.
Demonstrated history of sound judgment on taxonomy, ontology, and knowledge structure design.
Experience with requirements elicitation, able to pull real requirements out of ambiguous, fast-moving
problem spaces.
8+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated staff-level scope and impact.

No. Coursera offers a choice of where to work, but its job postings also say the globally distributed team comes together intentionally for collaboration, complex problem-solving and key milestones. At least one current posting is explicitly hybrid: "This is a hybrid role in Denver or Austin." Check the location line on each posting before you apply.
Coursera lists home office reimbursement and connectivity support among its benefits, and its careers site says people working from home get the tools and support they need to build a home office. The company does not publish a dollar amount for either benefit.
Coursera's postings describe competitive, zone-based pay aligned to where you live. US postings name pay zones such as US-Z3 (which includes California, New York and Texas) and US-Z4 (which includes Florida, Arizona and Ohio). Total rewards also include bonus and RSU equity programs.
Coursera describes five stages: application, a recruiter chat, a hiring manager interview, panel interviews, and then offer and onboarding. The company says its interviews are structured and skills-based, and that it recruits across global locations.
Coursera covers tuition for degrees and extends learning access to employees' families. It also lists therapy, coaching, caregiving support, fertility benefits, an annual wellbeing stipend, generous parental leave, company-wide rest days and donation matching. Coursera does not publish figures for these benefits.
Coursera runs an annual Employee Engagement Survey. In 2025, 92% of employees took part, and the company says its engagement results beat the New Tech 1000+ benchmark.
