About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
We're at an inflection point for what it means to build for developers and agents. The way engineers discover, integrate, and work with APIs is changing fast, and we're actively building the infrastructure to meet that shift.
Developers still integrate WorkOS, but increasingly their agents do it for them. This team owns every way into WorkOS that isn't the dashboard: SDKs in 9 languages, now generated from our API spec; an AI installer CLI that sets up AuthKit in any project; our MCP servers and agent skills; and other not released projects we're building in-house. You'd ship daily with agents as collaborators, and your code goes into other people's apps. The roadmap comes from watching real integrations: friction logs, shared customer Slack channels and telemetry.
The goal is that when a developer (or their agent) needs enterprise-ready auth, WorkOS is the easiest path forward regardless of stack, language, or how they're building.

Most open roles are remote, but some are hybrid and tied to the San Francisco or New York hubs. Current hybrid listings include sales roles such as Account Executive and Business Development Representative, as well as Recruiter, Solutions Engineer and engineering leadership positions, while engineering and product roles are largely listed as remote.
Most remote listings on the WorkOS jobs board are labelled 'USA time zones.' The careers page describes its benefits as US-only and says comparable benefits are provided outside the US, so candidates elsewhere should ask the recruiting team directly what applies to them.
The careers page and job postings list medical, dental and vision coverage for employees and dependents, a 3% 401k match, 20 days of paid yearly vacation, 10 holidays plus unlimited sick leave, and 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave. Employees also get monthly fitness and mental wellness stipends, a home office equipment stipend, equity, Carrot fertility benefits, an FSA, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
In a 2021 engineering blog post, WorkOS described using Threads as its primary tool for making product and other decisions asynchronously, as an alternative to meetings, Slack and email. The same post said the team keeps shared core hours across time zones for the meetings that do need to happen live.
WorkOS job postings list unlimited token usage as a benefit. The company also runs a monthly 'Claude Day,' an internal one-day hackathon.
