At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.
Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
Linear is becoming a much broader product than people realize. With agents, mobile workflows, and new modalities, there’s a growing gap between what Linear can do and what people think it can do. This role exists to close that gap.
We’re looking for someone who will live inside the product, discover what’s possible, and show the world. That means figuring out the most compelling use cases for Linear’s AI agent, demonstrating real workflows that teams can adopt, and getting those stories out through whatever format works best, whether that’s a tweet, a video, a blog post, or a live demo at a conference. The goal is to help people understand what they can actually do with Linear and make that feel concrete and exciting.
Think of it as a product-obsessed marketer who is genuinely technical and knows how to communicate with depth.
Important: Linear is a remote-first company, with optional co-working offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in the US and Europe. You can work from anywhere within those regions. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:

Linear is Fully Remote and hires within two regions: North America and Europe. Roles are posted for one region or the other, and you can work from anywhere within the region you are hired in. Some senior roles note teams that also span Australia.
Linear brings people together in person on purpose. There is an annual all-company offsite (Copenhagen in 2025, with past gatherings in Mexico City, Helsinki, and Lisbon), plus smaller team meetups and occasional travel. Optional co-working hubs give people a place to work alongside teammates when they want one, with no requirement to use them.
Every employee gets equity. Linear offers employee-friendly terms: a 10-year post-termination exercise window, early exercise in the US, and equity refreshers over time. Alongside its Series C, the company ran a tender offer so current and former teammates could sell a portion of their vested options at the same $1.25B valuation as investors.
Linear offers at least five weeks of paid vacation a year plus local statutory holidays, and four months of paid parental leave. After four years, employees get a paid month off, and another every two years after that. These recharge sabbaticals are part of the company's Linear Infinity program.
Linear uses work trials as part of hiring, giving candidates a chance to do real work with the team rather than relying on interviews alone. The company hires deliberately and has kept its team small on purpose.
Linear suits people who care about craft and quality. The team describes itself as makers at heart with a shared respect for uninterrupted focus, and its principles emphasize shipping early, knowing what good looks like, and building things that last. If you value autonomy, taste, and written clarity over process and playbooks, it is a strong match.
