Director of Business & People Operations
Omniscient is an organic growth agency that builds revenue-focused organic growth systems for B2B software companies — optimized for both search engines and generative AI.
We pride ourselves on being lean, agile, and experimental. Our team thrives on R&D and innovation, always exploring the smartest ways to deliver exceptional results. We believe in a culture of building and shipping — whether it’s client deliverables, new services, or internal tools that keep us ahead of the game.
If you’re looking for a role where you’ll tackle challenging problems, work with ambitious brands, and help shape the future of organic growth, let’s talk.
Learn about the principles that drive how we work and build a company.
We're hiring a Director of Business & People Operations to own the company’s operating infrastructure. That includes utilization and capacity planning, workforce planning, the operational inputs to margin, the delivery operating system, people operations, tool governance, and the AI systems that will run much of it on autopilot.
What you’ll walk into: We’re a bootstrapped, profitable 30-person agency on track for 76% revenue growth in 2026 and targeting 60% growth in 2027. We need an experienced operator to diagnose gaps, bring rigor, build systems, and fully own the function as we scale.
You'll report to the CEO, join the leadership team, and manage a Senior Recruiter and Business Operations Manager. You'll collaborate closely with the Financial Controller, Chief Growth Officer, Chief Customer Officer, and Client Success Directors.
AI is not a side project. We use ourselves as our own test client for AI-first workflows, and we expect this function to run on systems you build rather than hours people spend. We're looking for someone who has already done this inside an organization, not someone who has only explored or tinkered with it. More on that below.
We're here to help you do great work and grow personally and professionally.
We're fortunate to offer competitive salaries and benefits, and we strive to create an environment that allows you to do your best work, develop your skills, and grow your career.
We require work hours to overlap at least 3 hours with US Eastern Time.
We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But there’s no such thing as a "perfect" candidate. Omniscient Digital is Fully Remote, but some roles set their own time zone rules because the work is with US-based client stakeholders. Recent postings have asked for 3 to 5 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time, and a few require living within US time zones. Check the requirement on each posting before you apply.
The careers page lists an annual education stipend of up to $2,000. Job postings say it becomes available after one year of employment. Employees also get a networking stipend of up to $50 a month for coffee or a meal, one Kindle book a month (the company covers a Kindle if you don't own one), and a quarterly profit share after one year with the company.
For US-based employees, Omniscient Digital pays 90% of medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums, and includes life insurance. Its 401k match covers 100% of contributions up to the first 3% of pay, then 50% of the next 2%. Time off is flexible (some postings call it unlimited), and the company recommends taking at least 14 vacation days a year.
The careers page lays out these steps: application, screening call, 3 to 5 interviews with people you would work with, a project, a final interview, and then an offer. The project can be done async or as a live working session. The company says plainly that it is a long process.
Yes. The team holds an offsite at least once a year. Past offsites have been in Boston, Austin, Chicago, San Diego, Playa Grande in Costa Rica, Mexico City, and Belgrade in Serbia.
New hires start with a 30/60/90-day onboarding plan. After that, performance reviews happen twice a year.
