What Is The Role
Elastic, the Search Analytics company, is seeking a dynamic Public Sector Account Executive. To excel as an Account Executive at Elastic, you need a blend of high-level technical curiosity and the gravitas of a value-based seller. Because Elastic isn't just a "product" but a versatile search, observability, and security platform, the role requires moving beyond simple transactions to solving complex data problems.
We are seeking a Public Sector Account Executive dedicated to evangelising and extending elastics footprint across the education sector. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle—from cold outreach to close—focused on acquiring new logos and working with existing health customers to help solve more of their problems using elastic. If you excel at navigating new organizations and demonstrating the value of advanced search technology to stakeholders, this is your opportunity to drive our next phase of growth.

Elastic recruits across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Each posting names the country or location for that role, so check its location requirements before applying.
Elastic offers health coverage, paid time off, parental and caregiving benefits, retirement plans with a company match, and equity opportunities. Its parental-leave policy provides at least 16 weeks, and remote workspace costs can be reimbursed when you join and again every five years. Specific benefits vary by region.
Yes. Elastic publishes starting salary ranges in US job postings, with different ranges for some locations. Pay within a range depends on factors including relevant experience, skills, and geographic location. The company says it bases pay on the work rather than previous salary.
The process generally runs: application, a 30-minute recruiter screen, department interviews (45–90 minutes), an optional panel presentation, a technical assessment for some roles (60–90 minutes), then a decision and onboarding. Most interviews are conducted virtually, though some may be held on-site.
Elastic allows AI to help organize your thoughts, polish your resume, and prepare for interviews. Your experience and skills must remain accurate, and you should be able to explain your approach. Interview conversations must take place without AI assistance.
