🧠 ABOUT LEGION HEALTH
At Legion Health, we believe everyone deserves fast, affordable, and world-class health care, and we’re developing the AI infrastructure to deliver it ourselves at world scale.
Legion is building autonomous medical care (the AI doctor), starting with psychiatry. Our AI-native care-delivery platform currently automates 95% of the administrative work required for us to deliver direct patient care. We also recently became the first company ever to receive regulatory authorization to let AI prescribe psychiatric medications, allowing us to not only collapse health care’s admin costs but also its clinical labor costs—shifting this industry’s economics from humans to tokens.
Our technical moat is hard to copy—we combine rich data, production AI, doctors in the loop, and end-to-end care operations to deliver measurably better care to a clinically complex patient population. This has helped us produce tens of thousands of total visits in just 2 years, all while holding ops costs flat and achieving industry-leading patient NPS and retention. While the last generation of healthcare startups made the existing system incrementally more efficient, Legion is rebuilding full-stack care delivery from first principles. Our vision? A 10X better patient experience that’s higher quality, less expensive, and more scalable than ever before. And a 10X better clinician experience that frees our providers to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
Legion Health is backed by Y Combinator, leading venture capital firms, and founders from Function Health, Modern Health, Everly Health, Trusted Health, Clipboard Health, PatientPing, Sesame Care, Faire, EasyPost, and fuboTV.
Join us as we build the future of health care: faster, higher-quality, and more affordable, powered by doctors and AI working together.
📍 ROLE LOGISTICS
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Role Type: Sales Enablement / Onboarding / Field Training / Provider Partnerships
- Ideal Experience Level: 4+ years in sales enablement, sales training, or a closely related role
- Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA
- Travel: Periodic field visits to support coaching and learning, aiming for 2–3 field days per month when feasible
🚀 THE OPPORTUNITY
Legion is hiring a Sales Enablement Lead to build the training and readiness system behind our provider-partnership team. You will help Provider Partnership Managers and Regional Managers learn the market, tell Legion's story accurately, execute the field motion, and build productive relationships with referring care teams.
Your first priority is new-hire onboarding: a focused one-to-two-week program with clear certification standards, practical rehearsal, and a strong bridge into the field. As hiring scales, you will build a repeatable cohort cadence, with onboarding during the first two weeks of the month and ongoing preboarding, coaching support, and curriculum improvement.
You will partner closely with Provider Partnerships leadership, Regional Managers, Revenue Operations, and clinical and operations experts. Enablement owns readiness, training, and learning systems. Regional Managers retain day-to-day rep performance management, while Revenue Operations owns commercial systems and planning.
✅ RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Build and run onboarding for Provider Partnership Managers and Regional Managers, including preboarding, live instruction, practice, certification, remediation, and the transition to field execution.
- Translate the approved provider-partnership motion into clear playbooks for account preparation, outreach, discovery, referral workflows, follow-up, and relationship development.
- Develop messaging, objection-handling guides, role plays, call examples, and field tools that help reps communicate clearly and accurately.
- Partner with clinical, compliance, and operations leaders to keep clinical claims, referral guidance, policies, and patient-access messaging accurate and approved.
- Train the team on CRM hygiene, workflow execution, handoffs, and reporting in partnership with Revenue Operations.
- Equip Regional Managers with coaching frameworks, observation rubrics, reinforcement plans, and tools for developing their teams.
- Spend time with the field team, observe real interactions, and turn frontline feedback into specific curriculum and playbook improvements.
- Create a practical content library with clear ownership, version control, and a process for retiring outdated materials.
- Support launches and process changes with training, communication, reinforcement, and measurement of adoption.
- Measure onboarding completion, certification, remediation, productive ramp, time to first qualified referral, and workflow adoption with the relevant functional owners.
- Use AI and modern learning tools to improve content production and practice while keeping materials accurate, useful, and grounded in the field.
🏆 YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU…
- New hires finish onboarding with demonstrated readiness and a clear plan for their first weeks in the field.
- Reps and managers use the playbooks and coaching tools because they help them execute, not just because training was assigned.
- Reduce avoidable ramp friction and improve time to productive provider relationships and qualified referrals.
- Keep the team aligned as messaging, workflows, markets, and operating requirements change.
- Create a steady feedback loop between the field, leadership, and training so each cohort is better prepared than the last.
🧰 IDEAL BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
- Experience building and delivering sales onboarding or enablement programs, ideally for a growing field-sales or provider-partnership team.
- Strong live facilitation, instructional design, coaching, and concise writing skills.
- Evidence of improved readiness, ramp, adoption, or field execution from programs you personally owned.
- Ability to turn complex product, clinical, operational, and commercial information into practical learning materials.
- Comfort with CRM workflows, learning/content tools, performance data, and field observation.
- Ability to distinguish a knowledge gap, a skill gap, a process problem, and a management issue, then work with the right owner.
- A hands-on builder's approach: write the playbook, run the session, observe the field, measure the result, and improve it.
- Healthcare, provider referrals, medical sales, or relationship-driven field-sales experience is a strong plus.
- High ownership, low ego, clear communication, and willingness to travel periodically to learn from and support the field.
