About us
As one of Germany's leading HealthTech companies, we are transforming discharge management by making it technology driven, patient centered, and free of bureaucracy. In addition to our market leading SaaS platform, we are developing AI solutions that radically simplify processes in clinics and for aftercare providers, relieve the burden on healthcare professionals, and put the focus back on patients. We currently connect over two thirds of all German hospitals with more than 650 rehabilitation clinics, and over 25,000 care and homecare providers. With around 120 employees from a broad range of nations, we are continuing to grow and are looking for people with the right attitude who want to improve the healthcare system alongside us.
We're now going far beyond our core business, aiming to eliminate bureaucracy and admin in hospitals with a whole portfolio of AI products.
What you'll work on
Aftercare provider operations are becoming increasingly complex and data driven. Bringing change is very hard, but we're not afraid. You'll build features that help care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and healthcare chains better allocate resources, unlock actionable insights from patient data, and integrate Recare seamlessly into their internal systems.
Our ambitious roadmap focuses on expanding our marketplace's receiver side with enhanced analytics tools, B2C platforms connecting providers directly with patients, expanded API integrations, and much more.
Secure communication is at our core. Our solution provides end to end encryption for healthcare professionals to safely exchange messages and patient data through both our applications and external API integrations.
In this role, you will:
We have several products in development that we are confident will significantly impact the German healthcare system. And yes, we're excited by the new opportunities AI unlocks for building powerful features for our customers and our own workflow.
What technologies you'll work with
We also dedicate some of our time to work on non business tasks, which means for instance:
Our philosophy is that developers are owners of the code they write until it gets to production. We rely a lot on automated tests to ensure everything stays stable. The rule is that code could be deployed at any time, and manual QA is only involved in new feature validation.

The careers page says roles are open across Europe. Engineering postings have named Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, France and Austria as the countries you can work from fully remotely, so eligibility is a specific list rather than anywhere in Europe. Check the individual posting for the countries that apply to your role.
Recare describes three stages: apply, a get-to-know-each-other conversation that includes your potential manager, and for some roles a work sample before the decision. Most interviews are conducted digitally; only in a few individual cases is there an in-person meeting at the end of the process.
The careers page lists a 50 euro monthly Edenred card, your birthday fully off as an extra day, a MacBook Pro plus a dedicated equipment budget to choose your own setup, a dedicated learning budget with regular feedback and development paths, flexible working hours, and team meetups and company-wide events.
Not for most roles. The careers page says English is the main working language across a team of 20 or more nationalities. Roles that work directly with German hospitals are sometimes posted in German, so check the posting language for the role you want.
