Senior Lead Financial Planner

Facet was founded in 2016 on the belief that objective, personalized financial advice is essential to living well. Our mission is to empower people to live more enriched lives by delivering a new standard of advice. By removing asset minimums, we provide holistic planning that goes far beyond investments to address every way money impacts life. Our team of CFP® professionals are at the core of our service and are empowered by our best-in-class support teams and proprietary technology platform. This model allows Facet to integrate advice into our members’ entire financial picture—all for an affordable, flat membership fee.

Our commitment to innovation and member success has earned national recognition, including being ranked the #1 Best Financial Advisory Firm 2025 by USA TODAY and named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Top Financial Advisory Firms 2025. With an A+ BBB Rating and a Trustpilot “Excellent” score (as of Sept. 16, 2025), we are proud to be redefining the industry for our members and our team alike.

Why Facet? The Future of Financial Planning

The Senior Lead Financial Planner role at Facet is unlike any other in the industry. We’ve stripped away the "old way" of doing business—no cold calling, no commission-chasing, and no mountains of paperwork. We’ve created a role focused entirely on why you became a planner in the first place: to hone your craft and change lives.

What Makes This Role Different?

• Sell Life Change, Not Products: We’ve eliminated the pressure of business development. You aren’t a salesperson for a fund; you are a catalyst for behavior change. Because we utilize a flat-fee model (not AUM-based), your advice is always objective. If a member should pay down debt instead of investing, that’s exactly what you’ll tell them.
• Focus on the Member, Not Paperwork: We’ve built a proprietary, AI-enabled tech stack and a dedicated support ecosystem (Trading & Operations, Planner Support, and Member Experience) to take the administrative burden off your plate. You don't gather onboarding data or execute trades; you build relationships.
• Join a Movement: We operate with a "One Facet" mentality—a flat, non-hierarchical structure that eliminates silos. You aren't just joining a company; you’re joining a community of growth-seekers redefining an underserved industry.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead Financial Planner, you will act as a financial life coach and guide for members aged 55+, helping them navigate the complex transition into and through retirement.

• High-Impact Engagement: Conduct 4–6 virtual strategy sessions per day, translating technical complexities into actionable paths that align with your members' long-term life goals and inciting action.
• Comprehensive Execution: Take full ownership of the planning lifecycle—from cash flow management and advanced investment strategies to tax planning strategies and integrated risk management. Deeply focus on pre-retiree/retiree issues, including Social Security claiming, Medicare options, income source coordination (pensions, annuities), and estate plan integration.
• Relationship Management: Rapidly establish deep-seated trust in a remote environment, maintaining an organized and elite client experience within the dynamic, fast-paced energy of a scaling firm.
• Emotional Architect: Exceptional soft skills to expertly provide confidence and reassurance in the plan. Effectively manages member emotions and adjusts communication style based on audience.
