Social Media Marketing Manager

As a Social Media Marketing Manager, you’ll shape Coder’s day-to-day social presence and turn complex AI infrastructure into content people want to watch. You’ll create for technical and business audiences without losing the broader story, using video, strong writing, and a clear point of view.

You’ll work closely with Coder’s content marketing, community, field marketing, product marketing, demand gen, and devrel teams (and more) to support campaigns, engage our community, and strengthen Coder’s voice across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X. From first idea to final post, you’ll create, publish, engage, measure, and improve.

What you’ll do here

• Own social media engagement. Monitor Coder’s channels daily and respond to comments, mentions, and conversations in a voice that is technical, warm, and on-brand to increase engagement and get more of Coder’s content in front of the right audiences.
• Create vertical video content end to end. Produce short-form and long-form video for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, including scripting, filming, editing, publishing, and optimization.
• Execute campaigns. Partner with the cross-functional teams to bring product launches, thought leadership series, customer stories, and event campaigns to life across social media platforms.
• Repurpose and remix. Turn webinars, blog posts, product demos, and other existing content into social-native formats built for each channel.
• Track and report. Monitor performance, identify patterns, share insights with the team, and use what you learn to shape the next round of content.
• Stay current. Keep up with platform trends, algorithm changes, emerging formats, and what is working across developer tools and B2B technology.
• Manage the content calendar. Keep production organized, maintain a steady publishing rhythm, and surface new ideas before they are requested.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience creating content for a brand, agency, or independent audience, with a portfolio that shows range.
• Proven video production skills across short-form formats such as Reels and Shorts, as well as long-form YouTube content.
• An AI-native workflow. You actively use tools for image generation, video editing, scripting, ideation, and production, and you keep exploring what is new.
• Strong brand intuition, informed by companies and publishers such as Anthropic, GitHub, Notion, Figma, and TechCrunch.
• Clear, concise writing skills and the ability to adapt tone, format, and level of technical detail across platforms.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of urgency, ownership, and autonomy. You’d feel comfortable pulling together a rapid video response to a news story that’s relevant to Coder’s narrative.
• Strong organizational habits, paired with the initiative to bring forward ideas, experiments, and opportunities.
• The ability to learn technical concepts quickly and turn them into content that is accurate, accessible, and engaging.

Bonus tacos if you have

• (Tacos? If you need an icebreaker, ask how we say thanks by giving tacos!)
• On-camera experience presenting product demos, interviews, explainers, or educational content.
• Experience creating content in B2B technology, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or a related space.
• Familiarity with developer communities on X, GitHub, Discord, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of AI agents, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or related concepts.
• Experience using Sprout Social, Notion, or similar content operations tools.

Interview process

We believe that the interview process should be transparent, consistent, and enjoyable. We value your time and hope to complete the interview process in two to four weeks, if schedules allow. Through your interviews, you will meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and senior leaders.

AI use during the interview process

As an AI company, Coder embraces the use of AI tools, and we want to be transparent about our expectations as you navigate our interview process.

Not permitted: Using AI assistance during conversational interviews.

Permitted: Using AI tooling for take-home assessments. Please flag where and to what extent it was used in your take-home. Your submission will not be penalized for using AI as long as it is done honestly.

Our use of AI in hiring

We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:

• Ashby helps us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.
• Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.

All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.

In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, an independent bias audit has been conducted on "Automated Employment Decision Tools"; results are available for Ashby.

If you're applying for a role at Coder and have questions about how we use AI in our process, or if you'd like to request information about the data we collect, please contact careers@coder.com.
