Sr. Business Systems Engineer
Engine is the AI-native platform for intelligent travel. For a decade, Engine has built the proprietary technology and supply behind modern business travel, serving over 40,000 customers and nearly 2 million travelers, along with leading travel and AI companies that build on Engine's infrastructure. One system powers business travel, group travel, human agents, and AI agents.
That work has earned Engine recognition as TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), a spot on Inc.'s Power Partners list (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).
We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.
Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.
Business Systems is shifting from a classic admin/ops setup to a more engineering-led team. We want people who write code, take release process seriously, and use AI to increase your efficiency 10x.
You'll help build and connect the systems behind Engine's go-to-market motion: CRM, engagement, enrichment, automation, and the glue between them. Some of that lives in Salesforce; a lot of it is integrations, internal tooling, and workflows that span multiple platforms. You'll ship through git and CI/CD, not one-off manual deploys, and help us get sharper at that as the team changes shape.
A big part of the job is automation — wiring AI into production workflows where it cuts manual work, and using coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code in your own day-to-day, with normal review and testing. You'll sit with RevOps, Sales, and Growth on the problems that actually matter, turn them into systems that stick, and leave the next person something they can maintain.
Nice to have: Salesforce Admin or Platform Developer certs, travel/marketplace background, Data Cloud / Agentforce, or you've helped a systems team make a similar move toward engineering practices.
You're not joining a finished machine. You'll help decide how Business Systems builds and ships going forward, with plenty of exposure across GTM and Engineering at a company that's already at scale and cash-flow positive.
Applications for this role will be accepted until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.

Engine is remote-first with a hybrid-hub model. Roles are either fully remote or anchored to a hub city (Denver, Chicago, or Tempe), and remote positions are explicitly labeled fully remote on the job board.
Open roles are posted as either Remote - US or Remote - LATAM, or tied to one of the hub offices in Denver (CO), Chicago (IL), or Tempe (AZ). Remote - US is the most common band across current listings.
Yes. Engine hires remote engineering talent in Latin America, with recent Remote - LATAM postings for backend, fullstack, frontend, and automation engineering roles.
Compensation is geo-based, tied to your experience, expertise, and location. Base pay ranges are published on individual job postings, and total compensation can include bonuses, commissions, and equity or variable pay (OTE).
Engine looks for people who take ownership and move quickly, reflected in values like "Drivers, not Passengers" and "Insist on High Standards." The company says it hires for grit, curiosity, and will.
It was. Hotel Engine rebranded to Engine (engine.com). The legacy Hotel Engine name still appears in some places, but it is the same company.
