Sr. Director, Assistant General Counsel (Consumer Litigation & Regulatory)

We’re hiring a Senior Director, Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement to lead Dave’s litigation and adversarial regulatory response function. This is a highly strategic role reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, with broad ownership across consumer litigation, arbitration, regulatory investigations, enforcement matters, and complex disputes as Dave continues to grow.
You’ll shape how Dave approaches legal risk at scale — building the frameworks, processes, and long-term strategy that support a fast-evolving fintech platform. You’ll work closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Risk, Operations, and executive leadership to navigate high-impact matters while helping the business make thoughtful, durable decisions.

This role sits at the intersection of legal strategy, operational scale, and member trust. Your work will help Dave navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory environment while building sustainable systems that support long-term growth and protect the member experience.
You take ownership of outcomes, not just individual matters. You understand how litigation strategy, regulatory decisions, operational processes, and member experience connect across the broader business. You’re thoughtful about trade-offs, able to navigate ambiguity without creating unnecessary complexity, and focused on building systems that scale over time.
You also work collaboratively. You build trust across teams, communicate clearly in high-stakes situations, and approach feedback as a way to sharpen thinking and improve outcomes. You know how to influence across organizational levels while keeping teams aligned around practical, sustainable solutions.
Dave moves quickly, but thoughtfully. Priorities evolve as products grow, regulations shift, and new information emerges. In this role, you’ll have meaningful autonomy and visibility, along with close partnership from experienced leaders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Product.
