Product development used to mean manually writing code, running analysis, diagnosing bugs, and rolling out changes using dozens of tools.
PostHog is the only platform that acts like a co-pilot for you (and your AI agents) to do it all – autonomously.
We started with open-source product analytics, launched out of Y Combinator's W20 cohort. We've since shipped more than a dozen products, including:
We are:
We're focused on building an awesome product for end users, hiring exceptional teammates, shipping fast, and being as weird as possible.
We're seeking a Europe/UK based ingestion pipeline engineer who:
The ideal candidate has experience with high-throughput data processing systems such as:
We use a mixture of Node.JS and Rust for high-throughput processing. We store most of our data in Kafka, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, S3, and Redis, but with the growing volume of data, we're constantly re-evaluating our technological choices. We're looking for someone who understands the principles of designing distributed systems and can use them to pick the best tools for the job.
At PostHog you won't get stuck maintaining an obscure microservice or working in the shadows of the product org, instead, you will:
Our team is spread across North America and Europe and we're looking for another engineer in Europe or the UK.
We're growing very quickly at PostHog, so quickly that the numbers in our job descriptions often get out of date. Our ingestion pipeline is currently processing 10s of billions of events a month and we're hoping to add one more zero to that soon. You’ll be responsible for developing the infrastructure to capture all that data, process it reliably, and provide it to other parts of PostHog's platform, such as product analytics, feature flags, CDP, and more.
We are committed to ensuring a fair and accessible interview process. If you need any accommodations or adjustments, please let us know

PostHog runs three interviews before the final stage: a talent interview, a technical interview with the hiring manager, and a small-team interview with a member of the exec team. The final stage is a SuperDay, a paid full day of real work arranged flexibly around your schedule. PostHog pays every candidate a flat $1,000 for it.
Yes. PostHog's public salary calculator returns an approximate starting salary before you apply. Behind it sits a published ladder of six levels - Junior, Intermediate, Senior, Staff, Director and Principal - and four steps within each level, Learning, Established, Thriving and Expert, which decide where in the range you land. PostHog also states it is open to paying well beyond those published ranges for exceptional talent.
Stock options vest over four years with monthly vesting and a one-year cliff, and you get 10 years from the grant date to exercise them after you leave - most companies give 90 days. Double-trigger acceleration applies if you are let go in connection with an acquisition. PostHog has also run liquidity events, an employee secondary and a tender offer, giving team members a route to sell some of their shares, and says it plans to run more.
Time off is unlimited, with a required minimum of 25 days per year. Sick leave and parental leave are separate and do not count against it.
Yes. Every team member gets $300 a month toward a co-working space or coffee shops, charged straight to a company card. PostHog also runs two Hedge Houses in the UK, a small one in Cambridge where team members can stay for free and a larger one in London, plus Hogpatch in San Francisco. It funds one fully paid all-company offsite a year at up to $3,000 per person and one small-team offsite at up to $2,000 per person, with a hackathon as the centrepiece, and gives everyone a quarterly budget to meet up locally with colleagues they don't work with day to day.
PostHog offers to be the first investor in a team member's new company if they spend two years there and then leave to start one.
