Customer Support Specialist (English)
AirAdvisor helps air travelers receive the compensation they are entitled to for flight disruptions — delays, cancellations, missed connections, and overbooking — and, since June 2025, baggage claims for lost, delayed, or destroyed luggage. Present in the EU, the UK, and other international markets, AirAdvisor has processed over 580,000 claims for clients from 221 countries, earning a 4.6-star rating from 30,000+ reviews. Operating in 21 languages, it is an ambitious, fast-growing startup aiming for 1 million claims by the end of 2026.
As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. You will handle incoming requests, provide clear and empathetic guidance, and ensure each traveler has a positive experience with AirAdvisor. You will also work closely with our operations and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely handling of cases.
A strong competitive advantage: proficiency in other European languages and/or Ukrainian; experience in LegalTech, TravelTech, or consumer-facing digital platforms.
Job type: Indefinite-term Freelancing Contract / Service Agreement, FOP, or a B2B Contract.

Applications go directly by email using a subject-line convention specified in each posting. There is no applicant tracking system. Speculative CVs are also invited even when nothing specific matches your profile.
Roles are advertised as an indefinite-term Freelancing Contract / Service Agreement, FOP, or a B2B Contract rather than a traditional employment contract. You would work as a contractor, which matters if you need employer sponsorship or local employment protections.
Postings put no geographic limit on where you live and set no office attendance expectations. The practical constraint is contractual rather than geographic: roles run through freelance, FOP, or B2B agreements, so confirm you can invoice as a contractor from your country before you apply.
No posting publishes a salary range or pay band, and the only pay statement is an annual pay review with performance-based bonuses. Because roles are contracted on freelance, FOP, or B2B terms, expect to discuss your rate during the process rather than read it off the listing.
Postings ask for the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, along with empathy and self-direction. Onboarding and training structure are not described publicly, so that is worth asking about during the process.
The company says every team member, including marketing, SEO and editorial staff, has completed data and privacy protection training, which it treats as a company-wide requirement rather than a claims-team one. It is also a US-incorporated firm with locally based lawyers in European jurisdictions, and it was recognised by the MassChallenge Accelerator early in its life.
