Associate Director / Director, Data Strategy & Measurement
Important: Location: Remote — this is a remote, work-from-home role, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners. Some travel is required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and industry events.
The Associate Director / Director, Data Strategy & Measurement is responsible for defining and leading Acceleration Partners' data, analytics and measurement capability. This role sits at the intersection of client strategy, data science, measurement, AI-enabled insights and commercial growth. The Director will work directly with enterprise clients to understand their marketing and business data ecosystem, develop measurement strategies, and help clients make better decisions through data. Internally, the role will partner with Client Services, Strategy, Sales and AI Automation teams to build AP's data capability, improve decision-making, develop new services and products, and raise data literacy across the organization. As a senior leader, the Director will also develop AP's market position as a leading authority on affiliate, influencer and partnership measurement.
• Serve as AP's senior advisor on measurement, analytics and reporting.
• Understand client data ecosystems including affiliate networks, influencer platforms, Google Analytics, CRM systems, customer databases, MMM outputs and business intelligence tools.
• Design measurement frameworks that connect partnership marketing activity to broader business outcomes, spanning attribution, incrementality, customer acquisition and lifetime value.
• Advise clients on how affiliate and influencer activity should be measured alongside paid media, brand marketing and broader customer acquisition strategies.
• Own AP's point of view on measurement, partnering with MMM providers, analytics platforms and measurement vendors to keep AP at the forefront of measurement innovation.
• Lead analytical workstreams for enterprise clients, including programme audits and strategic reviews.
• Support growth strategies, forecasting, partner valuation models and opportunity assessments.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable commercial recommendations.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders across Marketing, Analytics, Finance and Data Science teams.
• Partner with Strategy and AI teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled insights.
• Lead development of scalable reporting frameworks, dashboards, benchmarking products and measurement tools. • Drive innovation across APVision and future analytical capabilities.
• Increase data literacy across Account Management, Strategy and Sales teams through training programmes, workshops and playbooks.
• Coach teams to ask better questions, interpret data effectively and communicate insights to clients.
• Represent AP externally as a thought leader on measurement and analytics, speaking at conferences, webinars and client forums.
• Produce thought leadership on attribution, incrementality, MMM, AI and partnership measurement, and build relationships with key industry vendors and platforms.
The Director has built strong relationships with key enterprise client stakeholders and is actively advising on measurement strategy and programme audits. They have an established working relationship with their Data Strategist and a clear view of AP's data and analytics roadmap. Early training and enablement sessions have begun to raise data literacy across Account Management and Strategy teams.
The Director is recognized internally and externally as AP's leading voice on measurement and analytics. Clients are adopting AP's measurement recommendations, and client satisfaction and retention have improved. The Director has contributed to new business wins, launched at least one new analytical product or framework, and represented AP at industry events. Data literacy and standardized analytical frameworks are visible across the organization, and the Data Strategist is developing well under their mentorship.
