Hi, I’m John and I’m the Head of Professional Services at Ashby. One of my favorite aspects of Ashby is our operating principle of Continuous Improvement. Coupled with our principle of caring deeply about our customers, we often find ourselves wondering ‘what is a better way to accomplish this’. That’s why I am thrilled to be hiring our first Technical Services Manager! As a leader on our growing Professional Services team (within Ashby’s Customer Success organization), you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role early in our customers’ journey, ultimately up-leveling the overall customer experience.
The Ashby team has grown rapidly over the last few years, and we're not slowing down: we now support thousands of customers, with ARR growing much faster than 100% year over year. As we scale upmarket, we are increasingly partnering with larger, highly complex organizations that bring sophisticated HR tech stacks requiring more customized integrations. To meet this demand, our technical services function is expanding quickly, and we are looking for our first dedicated leader to guide this talented group of individual contributors through our next phase of scale. We'll share more details once we meet, but you probably have a good idea as to why we're hiring for this role.
We’re looking for our first Manager of Technical Services to be the strategic anchor for Ashby’s expanding technical integration services. This role bridges two distinct technical engines: you will oversee specialized integration consultants dedicated to deep Workday integrations, as well as a team of technical solution consultants who build bespoke API solutions, craft custom recommendations, and deliver hands-on technical builds for our customers.
Six months in, success looks like having a highly efficient, scaled team that seamlessly handles multiple concurrent complex integrations, successfully troubleshoots mid-flight technical challenges, and consistently delivers high-value technical consulting. The impact you will have is substantial; you will help shape our technical services strategy and ensure all customers can cohesively integrate Ashby into their complex HR tech stacks.
As you're probably gathering, we're looking for someone who has been in the trenches, led high-volume functions, and built and scaled a team of technical consultants. You've done this work yourself, and you bring real "I've been there" credibility and empathy for customers navigating complex tools.

Per the careers page, Ashby offers competitive salary and equity with a 10-year exercise window on stock options, so you are not pressured to buy them if you leave. It also provides twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US, top-notch health insurance for US employees and their dependents with all premiums covered, a generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget, and a $100/month education budget (with pricier items like conferences covered on manager approval).
The careers page lists unlimited PTO with a recommended minimum of four weeks per year. Ashby is direct that it wants people to actually use it: expect "Vacation?" to stay on your one-on-one agenda until you start taking time off.
Yes. Ashby publishes a salary range on every job posting, along with flags for equity and bonus (for example, "€76K – €185K, Offers Equity, Offers Bonus"). Compensation is exposed through its public posting API, so ranges are visible before you apply.
Ashby hires remotely and its job board lists remote regions including Remote - US, Remote - Canada, and Remote - European Union. Roles are typically region-scoped, meaning a given opening hires anywhere within a named region (for example "Design Engineer, Americas" or "Engineering Manager, EU") rather than from one global pool.
People who prefer written communication and async workflows. Because the culture is documentation-first, the careers page flags two clear anti-fit signals: you would likely be unhappy here if you dislike written documentation, or if you prefer an in-person role over a remote one.
