CircleCI is the world’s largest continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform, and the hub where code moves from idea to delivery. As one of the most-used DevOps tools - processing more than 3 million jobs a day - CircleCI has unique access to data on how the most effective engineering teams work, and the tools to help software companies successfully leverage the power of AI into their commercial applications. Companies like Hinge, HuggingFace, and Samsung use us to improve engineering team productivity, release better products, and get to market faster.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in downtown San Francisco with a global, remote workforce, CircleCI is venture-backed by Base10, Greenspring Associates, Eleven Prime, IVP, Sapphire Ventures, Top Tier Capital Partners, Baseline Ventures, Threshold

At CircleCI, people make our hiring decisions. We use technology to support our recruiting team so they can spend more time on what matters most: getting to know you.
AI does not make hiring decisions at CircleCI. Our recruiters and hiring teams review candidates and make every decision to advance or reject an application. No candidate is rejected based solely on an AI score. We have tools and processes in place to test for bias and to review how these tools perform, and we adjust our approach as AI technology and the laws that govern it change.
You can ask for human-only review of your application, opt out of AI interview note-taking, request an accommodation, or ask questions about how we use AI. Contact recruiting@circleci.com. For how we handle your data, including retention, see our Privacy Policy.

CircleCI describes a flexible hybrid setup where people work from the office or from home, and its careers page sets no number of required office days. This varies by role, though. Some postings are explicitly hybrid: the Lead Accountant role is described as a hybrid position based in San Francisco. Read each posting for the role's own arrangement.
CircleCI is headquartered in San Francisco, and its careers page lists team members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Mexico and Japan. The jobs board's office filter lists Mexico City, San Francisco, Tokyo and Toronto. Engineering postings say "we hire across the United States and Canada."
Yes. CircleCI's job postings list pay ranges tiered by US metro zone, and most also give Canadian dollar and British pound ranges. For example, the Staff Software Engineer posting lists $205,000 to $285,000 USD for the San Francisco Bay Area zone, $195,000 to $265,000 CAD in Canada, and £125,000 to £170,000 GBP in the UK. Pay depends on where you live.
CircleCI's guidance asks staff to use asynchronous communication when working across time zones and to make good use of the overlap time they have. Teammates who can't attend a meeting can watch a recording later. Video calls happen on Zoom, and every employee gets a full-access Zoom account. CircleCI's remote-work blog posts also mention flexible hours.
Yes. CircleCI's blog says teams get together in person at least once a year, and whole departments do the same. It also describes "Small Hands," smaller in-person team gatherings held from time to time. These blog posts are undated, so ask your recruiter how often teams meet now.
CircleCI's careers page lists generous PTO, holistic mental health support, a comprehensive benefits package, training and development programs, and leadership development programs. It also names its employee resource groups: Queer Sphere, Circle[SHE]i, CircleMinds, The Onyx Circle, CircleAPI, CircleGI and Circle-Sí-I.
