Location: Gulf-Based, Middle East. The specific work location will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location and work authorization, Axios’s business needs and applicable law.
The selected candidate will be employed through a local employer-of-record (EOR) partner or professional employer organization (PEO), with the specific structure varying by country. The employment arrangement must be permissible in the applicable location and is subject to any required work authorization, professional registration, licensing, background checks and other pre-employment or regulatory requirements.
The reporter will work closely with Axios’ editorial team and follow Axios’ editorial standards and direction.

No. Axios is Remote-First, and most of its roles are posted as remote within the United States, but some are tied to a specific metro. Local advertising sales is the clearest case: those postings say in-market presence is essential because the role is built on local relationships. The only physical office Axios names on its job board is its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Rarely. Axios hires almost entirely within the United States: its postings scope pay ranges to locations within the U.S., and remote roles are listed as U.S.-based. The exceptions are occasional reporting roles tied to covering a specific region abroad. Within the country, some roles narrow further to a region, such as the East Coast, or to a particular local market.
Pay is location-based by stated policy. Axios says its "compensation philosophy takes into account the cost of labor differentials across the country," so the range on a posting is one national envelope and the portion you are eligible for depends on where in the United States you live. Expect wide posted ranges for that reason.
