Senior Product Manager - Build Engineering Reviews
At CoLab, we help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.
CoLab is the AI platform for driving stronger engineering decisions. Every design review in CoLab builds a knowledge repository of design feedback, decisions, and lessons learned - which AI agents draw from to flag issues on future designs before they compound. The more your team works in CoLab, the smarter it gets and the faster you arrive at the ideal design. Companies like Ford, Komatsu, and Johnson Controls use CoLab to catch issues earlier, eliminate rework cycles, and bring products to market faster.
Founded in St. John’s, Newfoundland, CoLab has grown quickly from our first customer in 2019 to a rapidly scaling company. We’ve recently been recognized on Deloitte’s Fast 50™ and Fast 500™, and named a Canadian company to watch by The Globe and Mail and Financial Post.
As a Senior Product Manager on the Build Engineering Reviews team at CoLab, you’ll own one of the most strategically important areas of our platform: how engineering teams collaborate, review designs, and make better decisions together.
This team sits at the intersection of product strategy, workflow design, and deep technical domain knowledge. You’ll work on the systems and experiences that help mechanical engineering teams run effective design reviews across complex products, stakeholders, and development cycles.
You do not need to come from a mechanical engineering background. But you do need the ability — and genuine curiosity — to quickly understand highly technical customer problems and translate them into clear product direction. The engineers and customers you’ll work with are deeply technical. Your job is to bridge that complexity with strong product thinking, prioritization, and execution.
Although you sit within the product organization, you’ll be deeply embedded with a highly technical engineering team. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, customer-facing teams, and leadership to shape the roadmap, drive alignment, and ensure we’re solving the right problems for our customers.
This is not a role where success comes from simply gathering feature requests and writing tickets. You’ll need strong product judgment, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to build trust with people who think deeply about technical systems and workflows every day.
If you’re energized by difficult product challenges, curious about how complex products get designed and built, and excited about shaping software used by some of the world’s leading engineering organizations, this could be your next role.
You’re an experienced B2B SaaS Product Manager who knows how to navigate complexity, align stakeholders, and ship meaningful products in technical environments. But this role goes beyond owning a roadmap or driving individual initiatives.
At CoLab’s stage, we need PMs who actively help level up the product organization itself — shaping how we work, improving product processes, introducing best practices, and raising the bar for cross-functional collaboration and decision making. You won’t succeed here by operating in a silo. The strongest PMs at CoLab are deeply engaged with the broader team and care as much about improving the system around them as they do about delivering their own work.
You may not be a mechanical engineer — and that’s okay. What matters most is your ability to quickly build domain understanding, ask thoughtful questions, and work effectively with highly technical teams and customers.

Frequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to help us break that statistic and apply even if you don’t meet every single qualification—your potential is what matters most to us.
