Aurora is on a mission to create a future of solar for all. Our award-winning software puts the power of data and technology into the hands of every solar professional to make solar adoption simple and predictable. Our software has designed millions of solar projects so far, empowering solar companies to sell, design, and install residential and commercial solar arrays accurately, seamlessly, and at scale.
We’ve been named one of "The Best Remote Companies" by BuiltIn.com and have been recognized for the second time as a Certified Green Business (CGB) with the city of San Francisco. We’re in this together to support the world’s transition to solar.
Aurora’s International team builds the product foundation that helps solar scale globally. In this role, you’ll drive the technical execution behind market expansion by delivering solutions that are extensible, reliable, and aligned with regional expectations, including compliance and workflow needs.
You’ll partner closely with international stakeholders to understand how solar is sold, designed, and installed in-market. You will also collaborate across Aurora to ship a product experience that balances global consistency with regional flexibility.
We’re a collaborative, inclusive group that shares context early, learns fast, and raises the bar together. We celebrate momentum, whether that’s launching a new capability, simplifying a flow, or making a system more resilient.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the International team, you’ll shape the systems that help move the clean-energy transition forward. You’ll strengthen our platform, contribute to new greenfield initiatives, and build scalable solutions that unlock better experiences for solar professionals and homeowners.
We’re looking for someone who leads with curiosity, collaborates with intention, and cares about quality at every layer, from architecture to the last edge case. You’ll take ownership, ship with confidence, and keep pushing for simpler, smarter systems as we grow.
Aurora is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workforce of people who believe in and are passionate about creating a future of solar energy for all. We are an equal opportunity employer, we welcome and consider qualified applicants regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, national origin, citizenship, pregnancy status, veteran status, or any other differences. We encourage you to apply even if you believe that you do not meet all of the above criteria!
Aurora is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all candidates. If you require a reasonable accommodation that would better enable your success during the application or interview process, please complete this form.

It depends on location. Roles in the US and Canada are posted as remote, while European roles are hybrid and tied to a specific office: engineering out of Warsaw, Poland, and sales out of Munich, Germany. Aurora also offers a coworking stipend for remote and hybrid team members who want an in-office setting.
US postings use zone-tiered base pay ranges rather than a single national number. For example, a Staff Analytics Engineer role listed Tier 1 (San Francisco and New York) at $163,500 to $216,700, Tier 2 (cities such as Seattle, LA, DC, Boston, and San Diego) at $149,800 to $198,600, and Tier 3 (all other US locations, including Colorado) at $136,200 to $180,600. New-hire pay is typically set at the start of the range.
Medical, dental, and vision premiums are 100% covered for employees and 90% for dependents. Aurora offers flexible PTO and 16 weeks of parental leave at 100% base salary with a gradual return to work. Stipends include $500 for a home office ($750 for engineering), $300 a month for coworking, up to $100 a month for connectivity, and $720 a year for learning and development after 90 days. Wellness support includes monthly classes plus Wellhub and Modern Health.
Aurora has teams in the US, Canada, Poland, and Germany, with more locations planned. Roles are tied to a specific country rather than open to work-from-anywhere, so each posting lists where you need to be based.
People who want to build software for the solar industry and are comfortable in a remote-first setup that still keeps offices and some hybrid roles. Aurora leans toward candidates who put customer outcomes and team progress ahead of individual credit, and who can work with autonomy across a company spread over four countries.
