Senior Software Engineer, Strategic Reporting & Tools

Fleetio is looking for a self-driven and product-minded Senior Software Engineer to join our Strategic Reporting & Tools team of our product. This role is ideal for someone who has an interest in digging into data, and enjoys working with a cross-functional team. In this role, you will help build features that empower our users with premium analytics and reporting solutions to transform their fleet operations.
This is a remote opportunity and is open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate a strong proficiency in full-stack development, working with large data sets, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You are adept at working with databases, particularly Postgres and Snowflake. You have experience working with data to build quality insights and analytics solutions. Bonus points if you’ve worked across the analytics stack, including BI tools (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Sigma) and transformation tooling (dbt). You possess strong but loosely held opinions about architecture. You have experience integrating 3rd-party tools and APIs into a product with a focus on abstraction, maintainability, and a seamless user experience. You are passionate about solving business problems with scalable architecture. You are product-minded and team-oriented, willing to hear others' opinions and educate on best practices. You have excellent communication skills, particularly written.
