Remote-First

Brave Software builds a free web browser that blocks third-party ads and trackers by default, keeping browsing fast and private without add-ons. Its opt-in Rewards model lets people earn rewards for viewing privacy-respecting ads instead of being tracked, and Brave Search runs on its own independent index rather than reselling another engine's results.

Why Brave Software

Brave brings together browser engineering, search infrastructure and privacy research. Its browser uses Chromium on desktop and Android, with WebKit on iOS. The company was founded by Brendan Eich and Brian Bondy.

On the browser UI team, engineers can enter from frontend or full-stack backgrounds and grow into C++ feature development. They share knowledge and patterns across disciplines and work closely with designers. Brave also holds a yearly company meetup.
