Join the Tilt team
At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.
The Opportunity: Lead Product Manager, Everyday Money
We're building a new product area around everyday money: the financial products people use to plan, save, spend, and stay on top of their money, beyond short-term liquidity. It's a startup within the company: millions of existing users, a set of products to modernize, and a wide-open opportunity to define what we build next and how we monetize it over time.
You'll lead this as a player-coach. You'll personally own and ship product lines, evolving what exists today and launching new ones, and you'll manage a small team of PMs building alongside you. You're accountable for the thesis, which products we build, in what order, and why, and for turning that thesis into shipped products that drive retention today and durable monetization tomorrow. This is a builder's role as much as a leadership one.
You'll also lead our AI innovation lab for the space, using agentic experiences to create breakthrough everyday-money products for consumers. We’re making bets on what money management looks like when an intelligent agent does the work for and with the user, and you'll own turning those bets into real products.
This is a product leadership and execution role. We want someone who reasons from user needs and market dynamics, forms a strong point of view on where to play, and partners deeply with design and external partners to build experiences people actually want. Analytical rigor is assumed. Strategy, judgment, and user-first thinking are what set the bar.
How You'll Make an Impact
What the First 90 Days Look Like
- By day 30: A clear diagnosis built from our existing legacy products and market data. How today's products are performing, where retention leaks, how they compare to the market, and where the real opportunities sit.
- By day 60: A clear, sequenced product thesis and roadmap, with a defensible point of view on which products to build first, to whom, and why, and alignment from senior stakeholders.
By day 90: Hands-on in execution, with at least one product line you personally own in build, including any partner or infrastructure work needed to launch it, and your PMs moving on theirs.
Why You're a Great Fit
- Strong product strategy. You can define a phased thesis for a whole product area, decide what to build and in what order, and explain how the pieces reinforce each other into something bigger than the sum of its parts.
- P&L ownership. You've carried real accountability for the economics of a product or business line, not just its roadmap, and can connect product decisions to profitability.
- Fintech product experience. You understand how consumer financial products work, how the market moves, and where the competitive and regulatory constraints sit.
- User-first instincts. You start from what users need, ground your roadmap in real user insight, and partner tightly with design to deliver it, not from the spreadsheet.
- Analytical rigor. You're fluent in the data, hold your thesis to real evidence, and can move between a quantitative read and a user story without losing either.
- An eye for AI-native product. You're excited by agentic experiences and have a real point of view on how AI changes what a consumer product can do, not just where it bolts on.
- People leadership. You've managed PMs, raised the bar on a team, and can develop talent while staying close to the product.
- A builder who still ships. You've personally owned and launched products, not only managed the people who do, and you want a role where you keep your hands in the work.
- Partner fluency. You've built through external partners or shared infrastructure and can navigate build-vs-buy decisions with real trade-off judgment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership. You're energized by a mostly-blank canvas and a mandate to build something new inside a larger company.
- Experience with compliance constraints in a regulated product environment.
Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.
