As a Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will own a focused territory of strategic high growth accounts and existing customers with 500-2,500 employees, with an emphasis on Fortune 1000 organizations. Your mandate is to create new executive relationships, build qualified pipeline, win complex multi-product platform opportunities, expand 1Password’s strategic footprint across an existing book of business and secure new logos to add to our customer base.
This is not a transactional or single-product sales role. You will lead an enterprise-wide security conversation, starting with a customer’s most urgent problem and building the strategic case for Unified Access across humans, AI agents, and machines. You will engage and multi-thread with CISOs, CIOs, IT and security leaders, IAM teams, DevOps and platform teams, engineering leaders, security architects, finance, procurement, and other executive stakeholders.
The Senior Commercial Account Executive role also requires experience selling to financial-services organizations headquartered in or operating from New York City. You will bring sector fluency and demonstrated experience and understanding of how to navigate and win within complex financial institutions.
This is a remote, field-based opportunity. Candidates must be based in the New York metro area and should expect regular in-person customer meetings, industry events, and travel throughout the territory, including travel to New York City as required.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $96,000 USD and $139,000 USD, and is commission-eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.

Yes. 1Password has been remote-first since it was founded in 2005, with a workforce distributed across five countries. Most of the team works remotely and comes together at key moments — annual department offsites, team meetings, and industry events — for intentional in-person collaboration. A subset of go-to-market roles are hired as in-person hybrid in Toronto or Austin and are flagged as such on the job posting.
1Password's team is distributed across five countries, with publicly listed hiring in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Remote work here means working from your home country, so eligibility is tied to where you're based rather than open worldwide — check the individual job posting for the countries it's open to.
Compensation is geo-based, and 1Password publishes the salary band in every job posting in local currency (for example USD, CAD, GBP, or EUR). Most employees also receive an RSU equity grant that vests over four years with a one-year cliff, plus retirement matching (401(k) in the US, RRSP in Canada) with immediate enrollment.
