Velir is an established mid-sized agency with a top-tier portfolio of clients, ranging from the world’s largest non-profits to Fortune 500 brands. As of 2023, Velir acquired Brooklyn Data Company, a premier data and analytics consultancy focused on leadership, process improvement, implementation, and advanced analytics.
At Velir, we believe people are our greatest asset. Our culture is built on a foundation of trust, collaboration, and continued improvement. We strive for excellence in everything we do, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth. Our success is driven by a shared passion for making a positive impact on our customers, our communities and each other. We are a remote first company that offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.
Velir is seeking a Senior Content Strategist for upcoming website and digital experience projects contracts. You’ll work on enterprise-level sites (often at least 5k- 30k URLs), using strategic judgment, data analysis, and technical skills to find problems, recommend fixes, and help teams act on them. When existing tools don’t fit a project’s needs, you’ll adapt them or build something lightweight that does.
You’ll lead defined workstreams, present projects to clients independently, and work closely with our content strategy lead, designers, developers, and client teams. Each workstream starts with a structured briefing or handoff and includes agreed review checkpoints with the content strategy lead.
If you’re shortlisted, we’ll ask you to share an example of a complex content analysis and a client-facing presentation. You’ll then interview with the content strategy lead who will oversee the engagement. We want to hear how you handled the data, chose or built your tools, checked your findings, and turned the work into decisions. If client confidentiality limits what you can share, sanitized examples or walkthroughs are welcome.
Important: Please note that compensation is finalized after the interview process is concluded. We use a competency-based approach to base pay, which means it is based on the competencies and skills demonstrated for this role.
As an equal opportunity employer, we are firmly committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our hiring efforts. We recognize that we need team members from all backgrounds and experiences to successfully shape a positive employee experience as well as deliver our product and service solutions. To that end, we actively seek candidates who can bring diverse experiences and backgrounds to our team. We know that complex factors and systemic bias can get in the way of us meeting strong candidates, so please don't hesitate to apply even if you're not 100% sure.
At this time, Velir does not sponsor candidates and unfortunately cannot accept those on OPT or CPT.

No. Velir's postings say: "At this time, Velir does not sponsor candidates and unfortunately cannot accept those on OPT or CPT." Because its clients are mostly US-based organizations, Velir also looks for professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Velir's job postings describe a competency-based approach to base pay, and its careers page says salaries and pay scales are reviewed every year. Some of its postings have included an annual compensation range, so check each listing for the pay band.
