Snowflake Horizon Catalog is the context and governance layer of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. AI is fundamentally transforming how enterprises monitor and trust their data: instead of manually configuring thresholds and triaging failures, AI-powered anomaly detection fires on freshness and volume deviations automatically, agentic root cause analysis traces quality failures back to their upstream source in minutes, and intelligent lineage surfaces the blast radius of any schema change before it reaches a dashboard. Snowflake's native Data Observability capabilities — Data Metric Functions, graphical column-level lineage, anomaly detection, and AI-powered root cause analysis — are the foundation of this next-generation trust layer.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Data Observability product area, spanning Data Quality, End-to-end Lineage, and Root Cause Analysis. You will define the strategy for how Snowflake competes and wins against best-in-class observability platforms, drive the AI-first transformation of how enterprises detect and resolve data quality failures, and lead a high-performing cross-functional team to deliver capabilities that make enterprise data pipelines self-healing and self-explaining at scale.

AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER – DATA OBSERVABILITY AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

Own the AI-First Product Vision and Strategy: Define how AI transforms Data Observability at Snowflake — from manual threshold configuration to autonomous anomaly detection, from reactive debugging to agentic root cause analysis, and from static lineage graphs to intelligent pipeline health maps. Architect and own the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through launch and adoption.
Build AI-Powered Observability Capabilities: Drive product development for AI and agentic features across anomaly detection, lineage-powered root cause analysis, and intelligent data quality monitoring. Partner with Snowflake Cortex AI and Snowflake Intelligence teams to integrate AI capabilities natively into the observability surface.
Lead from the Front: Serve as the cross-functional leader for a dedicated pod of engineers and designers. Drive execution, partner with design, marketing, and go-to-market to bring capabilities to market, and act as the internal and external evangelist for your product area.
Be the Voice of the Customer: Engage deeply with enterprise data engineers, data platform leads, and executive stakeholders to gather insights, validate hypotheses, and ensure the solutions you build solve their most pressing pipeline reliability and data quality problems.
Shape Competitive Strategy: Develop a sharp point of view on how Snowflake wins against best-in-class data observability and catalog competitors — and translate that view into a differentiated roadmap that compounds Snowflake's native platform and AI advantage.
Drive Adoption at Scale: Collaborate with customer success and go-to-market teams to convert shipped capabilities into measurable adoption. Own outcomes, not just output.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping successful enterprise data infrastructure, data quality, pipeline monitoring, or observability products.
Deep familiarity with AI/ML concepts and agentic workflows; hands-on experience building or shipping AI-powered or AI-augmented data products is essential.
Strong understanding of data quality and observability concepts — freshness, volume anomalies, schema drift, lineage, and root cause analysis — and how AI is reshaping each of these problem spaces.
Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy and translate it into a concrete, actionable roadmap with measurable outcomes.
Strong customer empathy and experience engaging directly with enterprise data leaders to understand their most pressing pipeline reliability and governance challenges.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams, influence engineering direction, and present roadmap strategy to executive leadership.
Fluency using AI tools as a core part of daily product work — not as a productivity add-on, but as an essential operating mode.

BONUS POINTS:

Prior experience at or deep knowledge of leading data observability and data catalog platforms.
Familiarity with lineage standards and frameworks (OpenLineage, dbt lineage, Apache Atlas).
Experience operating in a high-growth, competitive market where you displaced an incumbent.
Exposure to agentic or AI-powered workflows for automated root cause analysis, intelligent alerting, or data remediation.

Health Insurance

Comprehensive medical coverage is offered, with three plan choices in the US: a Cigna high-deductible plan paired with an HSA, a Cigna PPO, and a Kaiser HMO for California employees. Coverage begins on the date of hire for employees working at least 20 hours per week who enroll within 31 days.

Dental Insurance

Dental coverage in the US runs through a Delta Dental PPO, with preventive care at no charge, a $2,000 annual plan maximum, and orthodontia covered at 50% up to a $2,000 lifetime maximum.

Snowflake pays in full for basic life and basic AD&D cover in the US, each worth 2x salary up to $1,000,000. Voluntary buy-up cover is available in $10,000 increments up to the lesser of 5x earnings or $500,000.

Disability Insurance

Short-term disability in the US replaces 70% of income up to $3,500 per week for up to 180 days, and long-term disability replaces 60% of salary up to $25,000 per month starting on day 181. No election is required for either.

Mental Health Benefits

On-demand mental health and wellness programs are offered to employees and their families. In the US, Lyra Health provides 25 therapy or coaching sessions per year at no cost, available separately to the employee, a spouse or domestic partner, and dependents aged 13 and over, with 24/7 crisis support.

Our own snapshot of 396 active Snowflake jobs the same day breaks down as 319 hybrid, 61 remote and 16 onsite. The careers site says eligible employees receive new hire equity, the Employee Stock Purchase Plan and a quarterly bonus or commission program, and the FY2026 annual report describes a mix of fixed and variable cash compensation rewarded against defined business results. The stock purchase plan buys shares at a 15% discount, and the company's US benefits site explains that the discount applies to the lower of the share price on the first or last day of the offering period, with payroll contributions elected between 1% and 15%.

Does Snowflake match 401(k) contributions?

No. Snowflake's FY2026 annual report states that contributions to the plan are discretionary and that the company did not make any matching contributions to the 401(k) plan for each of the fiscal years ended January 31, 2026, 2025 and 2024.
