We're building a new healthcare clearinghouse

Stedi is the only headless clearinghouse and RCM engine. Headless means every part of our product is accessible via API. Developers and AI agents build their own interface on top of it. By offering modern, AI-ready APIs alongside traditional real-time and batch EDI processes, we enable both healthcare technology businesses and established players to exchange mission-critical transactions. Our clearinghouse product and customer-first approach have set us apart. Stedi was ranked by Ramp as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors.

Stedi has lightning in a bottle: engineers and designers shipping products week in and week out; a lean business team supporting the company's infrastructure; a passion for automation and eliminating toil; and $142 million in funding from top investors like Stripe, Addition, USV, Bloomberg Beta, First Round Capital, and more.

To see what we ship, watch the 2026 Stedi Keynote. To learn more about how we work, watch our founder Zack's interview with First Round Capital.

What we’re looking for

We’re hiring a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting & Operations as Stedi’s first dedicated revenue accounting hire. You will own revenue accounting and customer billing as the business continues to scale and establish the function’s core processes and controls. You will be responsible for revenue integrity across contract terms, underlying transaction data, invoicing, recognition, close, and audit-ready reporting.

A major part of the role is building a more scalable path from metered usage to invoicing and collection. You will improve the systems, data flows, and controls that support invoice generation and ensure billing information flows reliably into the general ledger, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy and customer experience.

The ideal candidate brings deep SaaS revenue accounting expertise, direct experience with usage-based billing, and the judgment to turn technical conclusions into reliable operations. You work directly with transaction data, document complex accounting decisions, and drive process changes through implementation. You bring a builder’s mindset and use automation to reduce manual work and make billing and revenue accounting more reliable as volume and complexity grow.

What you'll do

• Lead and execute revenue related month-end and audit readiness activities within the Accounting organization, including preparing revenue schedules, booking revenue journal entries, and reconciling revenue-related GL accounts.
• Perform detailed contract review and analysis for non-standard arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606, and thoroughly document conclusions.
• Own customer billing, including validating usage and contract data, issuing accurate and timely invoices and credits, and resolving billing exceptions.
• Modernize the infrastructure. Reimagine how revenue accounting operates – from billing through recognition and collections – with an eye toward scalability and automation.
• Keep policy current. Maintain and evolve revenue recognition policy so it holds up consistently across a growing and diversifying product portfolio.
• Partner across teams to close process gaps, improve customer experience, and make billing and revenue accounting more accurate and efficient.
• Support Accounting and business partners with clear guidance, strong communication, and a practical approach to operational issue resolution.
• Maintain and improve SOPs, process documentation, and supporting materials that enable strong controls, audit readiness, and repeatable execution.
• Support external audits. Prepare PBC schedules and respond to auditor inquiries related to revenue.

Who you are

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a revenue accounting or revenue operations role in a high-growth SaaS environment
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, with experience recognizing revenue in a usage-based or consumption-based billing model.
• You can turn technical conclusions into practical product, contract, billing, data, and operating requirements.
• You have demonstrated ownership of an end-to-end billing or order-to-cash process, not just the accounting entries
• You have proven ability to build and scale revenue accounting processes, including close, reconciliations, and controls, in a high-growth environment.
• You are highly technical and look for opportunities to automate workflows, work directly with underlying data, and use modern tools and AI to build financial systems that are faster, more reliable, and less dependent on manual processes
• You thrive in ambiguity, create structure from chaos, and can independently design scalable processes and systems from scratch
• You are relentless and resourceful. When something doesn’t reconcile or an answer doesn’t make sense, you keep going until you understand why
• You move fast and operate with precision. You thrive in an environment where clarity, accountability, and urgency matter.
