Senior Product Manager - Build Auto Review
At CoLab, we help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.
CoLab is the AI platform for driving stronger engineering decisions. Every design review in CoLab builds a knowledge repository of design feedback, decisions, and lessons learned - which AI agents draw from to flag issues on future designs before they compound. The more your team works in CoLab, the smarter it gets and the faster you arrive at the ideal design. Companies like Ford, Komatsu, and Johnson Controls use CoLab to catch issues earlier, eliminate rework cycles, and bring products to market faster.
Founded in St. John’s, Newfoundland, CoLab has grown quickly from our first customer in 2019 to a rapidly scaling company. We’ve recently been recognized on Deloitte’s Fast 50™ and Fast 500™, and named a Canadian company to watch by The Globe and Mail and Financial Post.
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead one of the most ambitious bets at CoLab: building AI-powered review systems that help engineering teams identify issues before they become expensive downstream problems.
This team owns AutoReview — the capabilities that proactively surface risks, patterns, missing context, and engineering concerns across complex design workflows. The goal isn’t to replace engineers. It’s to help them make better decisions, faster, using the collective knowledge generated across every review inside CoLab.
This is a difficult product problem.
You’ll be operating at the intersection of AI, engineering workflows, enterprise trust, and product usability. The hard part isn’t simply building AI features — it’s building products technical teams actually trust enough to use in high-stakes environments.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, ML/AI teams, and customers to determine how to create tools that deliver real customer value. Some weeks you’ll be deep in workflow discovery with customers. Other weeks you’ll be making prioritization calls across model capabilities, UX tradeoffs, and platform constraints.
This role requires strong product judgment. There’s no playbook for this category yet.
You won’t thrive here if you’re looking for highly predictable roadmaps, lightweight consumer problems, or environments where Product simply coordinates delivery. We need someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and help the team make hard decisions quickly.
The average person might think this role sounds overwhelming. If it sounds energizing, you’ll probably fit right in.
You’re deeply curious about how complex systems work — both technical systems and human ones.
You know how to navigate ambiguity without creating chaos. You can hold a strong product perspective while staying highly collaborative with technical teams. You ask thoughtful questions, seek signals quickly, and care deeply about whether customers genuinely trust and adopt what you build.
You likely have experience building technical B2B SaaS products, especially products involving AI-assisted workflows, automation, recommendations, or decision support systems.
You probably won’t enjoy this role if:
Frequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to help us break that statistic and apply even if you don’t meet every single qualification—your potential is what matters most to us.
